No.7 - Role model princess

It will be the last post in this 19th GLPS camp.


 Who is your role model princess? You don't think about it? Today, I'm going to talk about role model princess among the princess that we discussed in class together. I strongly believe that Merida is the role model princess among the princess that we discussed in class. Now, I will tell you why I think that Merida is the role model princess.

 First of all, she has sense of responsibility. When her mother turned into a bear, she tried everything that she can do. She went everywhere thtat will maybe change her mother back. When she doesn't have sense of responsibility, then maybe she can't turn her mother back. Some girls will have strong sense of responsibility but I think it's good to learn this from her.

 Second, she has courage. In the movie, she rode her horse and went to the forest, climb the rock, drink waterfall. Most of the girls will scream when teacher say something like hard or some adventure. However, Merida is not princess like that. She is more active and adventurous than other princesses. I think it's the one of the thing that we have to learn from Merida.

 Lastly, she is brave. When whe put all of her personalitiy, action and all of other things.

 Do you want to change your fate? Today, I will tell you about one princess Merida who wanted to change her fate about marrige. Her mother wanted her to marry with other kingdom's price but she thought that she was not ready. They have their own situation, but they didn't try to understand each other. I think Elinor has to listen to Merida and Merida has to listen to Elinor. But they didn't listen to each other.

However in my postion I think it's right to follow Merida's opinion. It's Merida's marrige not Elinor's marrige. When we marry with somebody, we have to be together until we die. It's our life. It's Merida's husband and I think that Merida has to choose her husband when she is ready. It's not the thing that Elinor can say do this. Also, Elinor's kingdom is the most powerful kingdom, so I think they can delay that date to pick the prince who will going to marry with Merida. They have a power to do something. Sure, I can understand Elinor's situation but I'm not saying that Merida has to choose to marry or not. I'm just saying that Merida has to choose her husband who want to marry with Merida and she has to choose the date to compete or something else. I think the marrige has to be Merida's choice. However, I'm not saying that Elinor has to listen to Merida's think. Of course they have to listen to each other.

They understand each other from the adventure to change Elinor to a person. It could be happened because of Merida's courage, responsibility and some experience. When her mother came into a bear because of her fault, she tried really much to make it back. And in that situation, when Merida has no courage, she can't make it. Then, maybe her mother will be killed by her husband. But, Merida has courgae and responsibility  both, so I think she can make it back. She make her fun and she did everything that could maybe change her mother back. I was so surprised about her courage and resposibilty. When I was her, I could not do like her because when I went to ask to witch there was no witch and also it's impossible to memorize the hole sentence. Of course, I will try to change my mother but I think I can't do like Merida.
In that situation her archery helped a lot. She used archery to catch a fish to have some food. Also, cause she played in forest a lot, she it will be easy to do manything. When she followed her mother and don't do archery any more and didn't ride a horse, then I think it will not happened.

After this adventure, they understand each other more. They try to listen to each other and respect others. We can see this part at the end of the movie. Elinor and Merida rode horse together and at before, Merida has a wonderful speech to every kingdom. In this speech I can feel Merida's mind that learn some love and how to understand each other. Also we can see Elinor understand Merida at the last part. She rode horse with Merida and her hair was not like before. Both of them understand each other and it will be better to grow their kingdom.

No.3 - Response essay of  Adora Svitak's presentation

 Today, we watched a video that Adora Svitak talk about children and adults. She said adults have to learn things from children. Shen is really young writer. In this post, I will talk about my response to Adora Svitak's presentation.

 She talked that children has things that adults have to learn. I agree with this opinion. She told to us that children think easier than adults. Yes, that's right. When I do something with my younger brother, he always finish first. But when they are oder, they cost a lot of time to think what to make and what will be best thing. Also, children have clear mind. She didn't talk about this I think. But I think it's the most important thing that audlts have to learn to chlidren. They have clear mind they are not selfish. They are all kind to everyone. When they have some food, they always want to share it. For example my younger brother is sick but he always want to get some sweets and give it to his friend. Althogh he can not eat sweets! I think I have to learn that too. But I'm not saying that only adult have to learn to children. Of course they have more knowledge that children have to learn, but I think they have to learn this kind of things from children.

Next, I agree that world is unfair to children and audlts. Yes, I know that we have to be older to do some economy things. But maybe some people like Adora Svitak can be better than other audlts. But they don't listen to children because they think we are too young to do things. So, as she said, she wrote her book and went to the book company for children but they didn't allow her. It's unfair. I can understand when it's adult's book company but it's children's book company. They have to allow her. Nobody know that it will be famous book. They have to destryo the discrimination between children and adults in this kind of situation.

I hope that discrimination between audlt and children will be destroyed. No, it must destroy for our next generation! Thank you for your time.

No.2 - My 30 days challenge in GLPS

Hello~ This is the second time to upload the post.

Today, I'm going to talk about my 30 days challenge in GLPS. We saw the video that is about some man( who work in google )'s 30 days challenge. Then we planned our 30 days challenge in our class. Then, I will tell you my 30 days challenge.

First of all, I will tell you the thing that I will not have. During this GLPS camp, I will not do my phone games. I only do bouncy ball and I like to do it. But I think it will be ok not to do bouncy ball for only one mounth not forever. It will bew helpful for my eyes maybe. And I will not use elevator when it's lower than 4 floors like go to find our washes. We can walk a little because it's not really hard. Also it's good for our health and we can save some of electricity.

 Next, I will tell you the thing that I will have during this GLPS camp. I will try to use English except in the dorm because it's too hard to use all day EOP. I think it will be helpful for me to improve my English skill. I tried it before few days with my room mates. Then English came out naturally even in our dorm! I think it's good for my future.

 I will try to do these things during this GLPS camp. Fighting!~

It's the first time to write the post. Today, I'm going to introduce myself.

 

 

I am Yun Soo Kim from Korea, Seoul. I'm now in Seoul Taerang elementary school, 5th grade. (I'm going to 6th grade now in 2013) My English name is Sylvia. I am now in GLPS to study English skills. 

I like math most in this GLPS camp and I don't like history in this camp.

My favorite book is 'Diary of Wimpy kid'. Also, it has made in movie too. I read 4 books in Wimpy kid serize. It's really fun. And my hobby is to read books or play with friends. I like outdoor activities. I love to ply dodge ball. Also, I'm good at dodge ball too.

Hum.. Next, my dream is diplomat. I came this camp to improve my English skill to be a diplomat. Diplomat has to be good at English. I admire Ban Ki Moon Un secretary who is the first UN secretary in Korea. He studied English by himself, not going to academy. Also, his house was not rich, but he became UN secretary who is the world's president.

In conclusion, I have the goal in this GLPS camp. I want to imrpove my English skills and I want to make a lot of friends. Also, I will try my best to get some prizes in here, also to reach my dream, diplomat.
